I am on the hunt to buy a piece of either 5A Madrose (you know the special grade stuff LMI used to have) or a piece of BRW with similar grain as the madrose.

I need it to be about 9" x 9" and about as thick as a set of sides or a back. (A bookmatch to get this would be ok too.)

I need it for a custom tele pickguard. I have quite a few really nice dark pieces of brw that would work, but they clash with the fb which is the special grade madrose and a little lighter in color..

If you can help please contact me

Brock,

A picture of what you are trying to match might help.

I do have a stash, but I would prefer not to cut it from a back from one of my sets.

In a pinch I will go with the brw I have, but I was hoping to get a better color match. I will snap a pic.
